The famous ‘Nane Nane’ is at your doorstep. It will welcome a tricky 09-11/08/2017. They are dates in Kenyan history that you must be ready to face soberly. All politicians have given the 8/8 an unnecessary buzz but what happens on August 9-11, 2017 will shape the Kenya your grandchildren will live in. What should you do during these dates?

After voting, you will be waiting to get good/bad news depending on whom you voted for and your expectations enshrined in you by both fake and genuine opinion polls. The reality is that several parties will protest the outcome. You must be ready to see these scenes and have a positive impact on Kenya.

Where you feel genuinely robbed, use the available legal apparatus to settle your grievances. Do not rob the shop that supplies you with daily goods. Do not butcher your Jubilee/NASA neighbor. You can protest soberly for even years until the international community intervenes.

Let us not burn Kenya but pray for peace and act peacefully because we all cook using Odinga’s gas and drink Kenyatta’s milk regardless of our political loyalty tilt. As you fight, their sons and daughters will be airlifted to Russia, UK and USA among other safe destinations as you walk killing your friends and neighbors or be killed. After the violence, the beneficiaries of the war will be in one political coalition come 2022 asking for your vote if you will be lucky to survive.
