Old age comes with a lot in its bag. There are all the changes in your body. It can bring about diseases prevalent among old people. But these situations that arise with old age are no reason to live life with any less passion.
You might retire from your job or running your business but do not retire from engaging in productive projects. Do not tire to take care of your flower garden, run the book club or sing in the church choir. Retiring in your career should be just that. Proceed with all the other projects in your life as long as you possess the ability.
Do not stop learning. Learning refreshes your mind and soul. Old people can find it unnecessary to try out new things and experiment new methods of doing things. It is not smart to focus on the short time you possibly have on this God's earth. Look at the present and the great joy that comes with learning something new.
You might have made that chicken for decades and decades, but you could still try out a new recipe.
Ensure that you exercise to keep that heart pumping. You might not be able to crack the hard-core exercises as you did in your younger days, but you need to stay active. There are light exercises like taking power walks that are friendly to your body.
Keep that social network alive. Play pool with your buddies, show up at the golf course, have fun with your children and grandchildren, and interact with people to kick out boredom.
