Not every season is like the other. Sometimes we run low on money and cannot  seem to keep up with expenses. There are some things you can do to survive these hard financial times. Stock up on basic needs. Buying necessities takes a certain pressure off you. When you fill your kitchen with food, it gives you security. Stock up on foodstuff, amenities like toothpaste and anything else you basically use from dawn to dusk. It would be a bad idea to opt out of fun because you are broke. Just make it inexpensive! Watch a movie, play chess with friends or engage in sporting activities. You still stay entertained without spending a shilling. If it is a walking distance, walk and save that shilling. As long as you are not late, you can opt to walk. This is a way to survive before that cheque arrives or you catch a financial break. Since you cannot be too sure how long this dry season might last, don't make unnecessary purchases. This is not a great time to buy shoes, clothes or develop a taste for expensive things.
