Several elected leaders in Uasin Gishu county have joined other leaders in mourning Migori Senator Ben Oluoch who succumbed to throat cancer on Tuesday.
Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi conveyed his message of condolences to the Orange Democratic Movement's (ODM) Senator through his official Facebook page.
"Am saddened by the news that Migori County Senator Hon. BEN Oluoch Okello is no more. My sincere condolences go to the family, friends, Migori residents and Kenyans generally for the loss of this great leader who succumbed to throat cancer.# RipBrother," posted Sudi.
Kesses MP Dr. Swarrup Mishra also send out his message of condolence through a post on his Facebook page.
He posted, "Sad to learn about the demise of Migori Senator Hon Ben Oluoch last night at Mp Sha hospital in Nairobi who succumbed to killer cancer disease. Received the sad news with great shock and profound. On behalf of Kesses people, let me officially convey my heartfelt condolence to the family and friends at this trying times."
The late Senator served in the Senate committees of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Health, National Cohesion, Equal Opportunity and Regional Integration.
He was a former Radio broadcaster at the state-owned KBC before moving to Ramogi FM and later quit to join politics.
