The Kenya Airways plane carrying the President landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 7am, during the rush hour.

The presidents return led to closure of Mombasa Road something that inconvenienced  majority of Kenyans who were going to work.

Many questioned the decision to close the road at such a time when many people were heading to town.

Here are some of the reactions.

@BrezhnevOtieno @Ma3Route @hndemweRipple effect of closure on Mombasa road to facilitate passage of President from JKIA

@UKenyatta Do the @PoliceKE ever tell you that the free way you enjoy on Mombasa road when you land at JKIA in the morning come at a huge cost to Mombasa road users. The jam now has stretched as far back as Syokimau

@Ma3Route 5h5 hours agoMore07:50 Surely why should the arrival of the president from airport make Mombasa road be closed

@CleophasMuthama @UKenyatta @WilliamsRuto @MikeSonko , where do your people get the guts to close Mombasa road for hrs on a Monday morning? The tens of thousands of citizens are headed to work to get money to pay your 6 figure salary and fuel your guzzlers. This is top notch arrogance!
