Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has released another scathing attack against his long-time rival Cord leader Raila Odinga, in what is becoming his trademark, hypothesis.
Ngunyi said he on the alert to help incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta destroy Raila ahead of the 2017 elections.
In an opinion piece, he noted that Uhuru started the process of disarming Raila after he announced the merger of 12 political outfits to form the Jubilee Party.
“In high politics, you do not build consensus through dialogue, a consensus is built through dominance. You dominate people into supporting you. The purpose of putting together JAP, therefore, was to create a form of dominance. A Dominance that leads to a consensus regarding the coming election,” Ngunyi stated.
The political analyst revealed that the merger was put in place to destabilise Raila, who is still unsettled in Cord since they still don't have an outright flagbearer in 2017.
Ngunyi further stated that the next step to destroy Raila is for President Kenyatta to focus on 'seducing' Cord co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula by offering them top government position like Prime Minister.
“To be able to do so they have to break into his political residence and lure Kalonzo Musyoka or Moses Wetangula. But you cannot romance the Kambas or Luhyas by giving them historically insignificant positions. Lure them by giving them the position of prime minister which can be created through a parliamentary process before the election,” Ngunyi said.
