The national youth representative Gideon Keter has explained how the meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga has impacted positively on the youths.
Speaking in Migori County on Friday, Keter said the Uhuru Raila pact has enabled youths to bury the hatred they had to one another where the youths allied to NASA would not eat on the same table with those allied from Jubilee side.
Keter said the grand handshake has ushered in sweet fruits of unity among the marginalized and the youth, which has made it easier to channel out development plans that can help uplift the youths from all divide.
The national youth leader said there are numerous gains and benefits realized when citizens forget strong bonds within themselves and move on as one nation.
“Yesterday I had a lively and crucial meeting with my fellow youths from Migori County and those bordering Kenya and Tanzania,” Keter said.
“In our meeting we agreed that it is high time for Kenyans, especially young people to the take the cue and build the bridges of friendship and brotherhood across all ethnic divides,” he added.
