As Raila pushes for free airtime on the local TV and radio stations with his demands, Uhuru is busy campaigning throughout the country.

He is personally going around campaigning and also delegating the work to those who won respective seats with Jubilee.

A voter needs to be wooed with affection and acts of kindness and concern. Uhuru has been doing just that. He is seen less and less on the TV screens and is more accessible to the common man.

One added advantage the Jubilee camp has is the proper utilisation of social media. Last time, they had the president answering questions on Twitter and Facebook simultaneously. Uhuru was making himself accessible to the millennials who get their news from their phones.

Millennials are accused of having a short attention span. They are accused of only getting information online through short snippets, likes, shares and trolling.

What the Uhuru camp needs to work on is a Telegram channel to update loyal Jubilee fans and to tip the odds of the repeat polls.

NASA has one such channel on Telegram and it is proved to be a very efficient way of communicating to its young supporters.
