The hair dryers, wax sticks and toiletries(towels) used in salons are not generally good for your health. Actually, the level of hygiene in those places are dismal. In some salons, they usually use a single body wax stick to serve all customers from Monday to Monday which is wrong.
Medically speaking and from a biological point of view, using a single body wax stick to serve all customers is associated with transmission of sexually transmitted diseases like Hiv/AIDS and such. You never know. Some customers are not as fit as a fiddle as the way you think.
Waxing involves removal of unwanted hairs. This treatment is associated with STDs contraction especially through double dipping. Double dipping is whereby the wax stick used to apply wax is placed back into the wax pot to apply more wax and in most cases, a single stick is recycled, that is, it's used to serve tyranny of people.
Waxing usually causes minor incisions on the body which in turn lead to seeping of blood. The blood endowed with virus usually comes into contact with the wax stick. The virus can be transmitted to the other customer by using the same wax stick only if the stick was not sterilized. However, if the stick was sterilized, you can't acquire the virus.
Be on the lookout because you might end up acquiring HIV/AIDS.
