On Thursday, the ICT released a press statement announcing the renewal one of China's top technology companies, Huawei Technologies.
Ever since Huwai launched its partnership in Kenya back in 2014, the company has focused on boosting Kenya's digital transformation and providing the country with quality ICT skills.
ICT Authority CEO Robert Mugo, Principal Secretary for ICT Eng. Victor Kyalo and Huawei Kenya’s Director for Contract and Commercial Fulfillment Mr. Tony Liu were all in attendance during the signing of the memorandum of understanding MOU.
“Huawei is keen on partnering with the government and other agencies on ICT projects that will go a long way in boosting the country’s economy. For us the signing of this MoU is proof of our continued commitment towards growing the ICT sector in Kenya”, said Mr. Frank Zhou, Huawei’s Deputy CEO.
This year the company plans on focusing on ICT research and innovation in an effort to help develop the ICT infrastructure and e-government services.
