Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has conducted an impromptu inspection of the soon to be unveiled huduma Centre in Nakuru County.

The centre, located on Kenyatta Avenue next to Merica Hotel, is set to revolutionise the ability to access government services in an efficient environment in the town. It will be one of the 33 centres the national government, through the Devolution Ministry, has set up across the country.

Huduma Centres will ease the pressure citizens encounter when seeking government services.

Governor Mbugua expressed his satisfaction with the centre’s completion ahead of its official opening set for early August.

“This will reduce the frustrations Kenyans go through when they need government services,” the governor said.

“Service delivery moves a notch higher and I am very impressed by what I have experienced. I have toured the entire facility and I must say as a-one-stop-shop, this will lessen the burden," he added.

Some of the services offered at Huduma centres include renewal of drivers’ licences and status check, duplicate national identity cards, NHIF registration and claims, NHIF member statements and accredited institutions, assessment and payment of stamp duty on lands, among others.
