Addressing the press the Huduma centre manager Margret Mureithi said a big section of Garissa town don't understand what service Huduma centers offers.
“We have realized that a number of customers are not aware of the services offered at Huduma centers. That is why we used the opportunity to urge them to come so that understand the services they can get,” Margret said.
Margret said in line with government’s aim to take services closer to the people, they once in a while offer mobile services to some areas with challenges.
“To take services closer to people we have been taking some of the services to some areas out of town but there have been challenges of poor road and mobile network connections,” the manager said.
The employees of the center later distributed food items to people with disability at Garissa primary school saying it’s to make them feel members of the society.
