The national government plans to roll out Huduma Centres in all the 47 counties in the country.
Betty Soita, the ministry of devolution and planning officer in the division of public service transformation said the government is out to transform on how services are being offered to the public.
Soita said the public will not have to walk long distances to seek government services noting that further down the Huduma Centres will be cascaded to ward levels.
She said they are re-engineering services at Huduma Centres to reduce further the time taken to offer services to the public.
“All the 47 counties will be having Huduma Centres and in future they will be in wards to offer closer government services to the people,” he said.
Speaking in Kisumu when she met Huduma Centres managers and staff in Western Kenya, Soita said set up of such centres in all the counties is at an advanced stage.
Nyanza regional commission Francis Mutie welcomed the move noting that the centres have continued to offer robust services to the public.
Mutie said the expansion will quicken how government services are reaching members of the public.
He urged public servants offering services in the centres to remain dedicated in their work.
