Part of the Hull City team set to take on Gor Mahia arrived in the country on Tuesday ahead of the match that is set for this weekend.
The team comprises of Hull legend Dean Windass, Andrew Stead the clubs partnership executive and Medical officer Rob Price and a couple of other officials.
Windass underlined the importance of the game, saying it will be an interesting fixture between the two sides, who are both sponsored by local betting firm Sportpesa.
“It’s good to be back in Kenya and I’m really looking forward to the game on Sunday.“ Though some of the players might be tired from the season, I have no doubt that they will put on a good show and we’re in for a great game of football,” Windass underlined.
Gor earned the chance to face the English side after beating rivals AFC Leopards on post-match penalties after a 0-0 score during the match, which was played at the Afraha Stadium.
This is the second time Gor will be facing an English side, after their monumental match against Everton FC in Tanzania last year, where they lost 2-1.
The rest of the Hull City team will arrive in the country on Friday ahead of the fixture, which will be played on May 13 at 3 pm.
