Hulugho location chief in Garissa County Adul Hassan has warned the locals against grazing their animals or allowing their children to play near Hulugho quarry.
This come a few days after four children who were playing nearby the quarry fell into it the open quarry, with three of them losing their lives.
Speaking to a gathering in the location, the chief said that he is consulting with the government so that they could construct a fence to surround the dangerous quarry.
“We have lost over seven people and 15 camels in the quarry. Do not graze near the quarry and always prohibit your children from nearing the dangerous place,” he said.
He added that the parents who will not be vigilant will definitely be arrested for risking the lives of their kids.
“This is a serious matter. We no longer want t lose any life from this region,” he added .
