The Kenyan human rights watchdog has strongly condemned the Monday incident that saw anti-riot police from GSU brutally manhandle some of the protestors.

KNHCR said that the inspector general of police, Joseph Boinnet and interior CS, Joseph Nkaissery should bear responsibility for the pain that the police subjected on Kenyans.

During a press release on Tuesday, the KNHCR chairperson, Kagwiria Mbogori warned the police against using excessive force to repulse protests from unarmed citizens out to agitate for their constitutionally granted rights.

The rights watch said that it will commence investigations into the matter on Monday, expressing their firm take that all perpetrators of brutal acts in the police force shall be subjected to the full force of the Kenyan laws.
