A man was arraigned before a Mombasa Law Court to answer to charges of human trafficking.
The suspect, Mr Robert Meti was charged with unlawfully trafficking six Ethiopians who did not have documents from the immigration department.
The six Ethiopians were arrested at the Likoni Ferry channel following a tip-off from members of the public.
The court heard that the suspects were arrested by Ferry police station officers while on their way to Tanzania.
Mr Msando was charged alongside the six Ethiopians Mr Mekengo Bekele, Mr Madebo Ashore, Mr Girma Lengu, Mr Taketer Abaya, Mr Ashore Deebo and Mr Dalalo Manido.
The six Ethiopians were however not charged due to lack of an interpreter.
Mr Msando however denied the charges before the court and filed an application to be released on a reasonable bail term.
Mombasa Principal Magistrate Diana Mochache granted the request and ordered for him to be released on a Sh100,000 pending the hearing of the case.
The six Ethiopians were remanded at Shimo La Tewa.
The case will be heard on June 16, 2016.
