Jomo Kenyatta Foundation chairman Walter Nyambati now wants Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire to change his ‘bad’ attitude towards President Uhuru Kenyatta for the sake of development in the region.
Bosire who also doubles as the ODM national Treasurer has been at loggerheads with the Jubilee administration and at some point, he defied President Uhuru Kenyatta’s request during his State of theNation address early this year for MPs to stand in honour of KDF soldiers who had died in the line of duty in Somalia.
And on Friday, Nyambati said it would be difficult for the region to spur economically should Bosire continue being in the opposition.
“I want to urge my brother Bosire who is here to bend low and work with the President. He has a bad attitude towards the President and that has really dragged development in this region and we all know that,” he said.
“There comes a time when we should respect the government of the day and work with it. Bosire kindly work with the President because this region has been ignored in matters development because of your hard stand,” Nyambati added.
However, Bosire dismissed the remarks saying the Constitution compels the President to work for all regions without discrimination.
“It’s untrue to say that you have to support the government for you to have development in your region. The constitution is clear on what should be done. If Uhuru cannot work here, then residents will send him packing,” he said.
