A spot check at various polling stations in Kisumu town has established that some of the longest lines are at Aga Khan, Jomo Kenyatta grounds and St Teresa’s Kibuye polling centers.
Those interviewed at the various polling stations stated that they woke up early enough in order to cast their vote and go back home to wait for results.
A youth, Victor Ochieng said he hopes that the exercise will proceed well; adding that he expected peace will prevail after the exercise.
“I hope no one will be closed-out as soon as the set embargo is reached” he added.
However, several people have been turned away by the IEBC officials after the BVR kits failed to identify them.
Kisumu Gubernatorial aspirants, Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o and incumbent Jack Ranguma voted at Ratta Primary school and Jack Ranguma voted at Kobura primary school respectively.
