Eldoret's Huruma MCA Peter Chomba now claims that his life is in danger.

He said some powerful individuals want to eliminate him due to his political stand amid the August 8, elections.

"I have received calls from unknown people threatening to hijack and kill me and recently two strange vehicles have been following me everywhere I go," he said in Eldoret town, Wednesday.

"I have reported the matter to the police station. I need government protection as we are heading to the general elections since my life is in danger," he added.

He however, said he will not change his political affiliations at whatever cost.

"No threats and intimidation will make me support a particular candidate. I have a right to vote whoever I want without being coarced," noted Chomba.

Chomba called upon residents to show up in large numbers and vote in their leaders since their security is guaranteed.
