A man in Kisii has been beaten by his wife after she failed to serve him food and soup.
The incident happened on Tuesday evening in Boroko village, Bomariba ward in Kisii County.
Locals say that it is not the first time the man identified as Maonda would beat his wife Kerubo who is a mother to four kids.
"This is not the first incident to take place in the family as the man has been beating his wife continuously. This time he beat him for not serving him with food," said Evans Nyakoyo, a local.
He said the wife sustained serious injuries on the head and was rushed to Nyamagundo hospital where she is currently being treated.
Another neighbor Veronica Mokaya, said the only reason the man's wife stayed in the marriage which she has been saying is abusive is because she has kids.
''She has been leaving the husband but she will always come back for the sake of the children," said Mokaya.
