Eldoret High Court on Monday jailed a co-wife and her husband for life after the two were found guilty of killing the man's fourth wife.
Appearing before judge George Kanyi Kimondo, Frolence Nangila and husband Prince Mulando were found guilty of murdering Mary Imminza Simiti on December 8, 2010 in Lugari Vilaha village in Makuyu sub-location.
"The homicide was premeditated. I find that the second accused had a clear motive to kill the deceased to terminate the relationship with the first accused," said judge Kimondo as quoted by Nairobi news.
Kimondo added that, "The accused acted to execute the plot. I didn't believe their defense at all. On the evidence of the 11 witnesses called by the Republic, I find that the charge was proved beyond reasonable doubt".
He granted the two a life imprisonment for murder.
