Former Dujis MP Hussein Maalim alias 'Hussein Maendeleo' is planning for a come back in politics come 2022.
Speaking to BBC Somali on Monday on negotiated democracy in Northern Kenya, Hussein said that only a section from the majority people decides for the minorities and their views are not heard and considered.
"The majority in the society decides for the minority ones and their opinions forgotten, is this a negotiated democracy?" asked Hussein.
Hussein further said that he has missed participating actively in local politics, and he intends to make a come back in 2022.
He however did not clarify which position he will be vying for, only saying he will come back with renewed energy and vigour.
"I'm missing the local politics. The Garissa politics. I will be back to politics by 2022 and i'm very much energetic and my mind is fresh for it. Lets wait for that time," said Hussein.
Hussein served as the Minister of State in the office of President Daniel Arap Moi during the KANU era and was the first Somali in Kenya to join the cabinet in 1983.
