"These marks are all because i rode on a motorbike to town and rider ended up in a ditch after he lost control," said John Mogaka, an accident survivor on Wednesday.

Majority of the crime cases in Kisii and its outcasts are known to be facilitated by the use of boda boda as they are available, enabling their escape. 

The motorbikes theft has also been on the increase due to the availability of black market and demand for spare parts.
