Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has once again pleaded with Cord co-principals Raila Odinga and Moses Wetangula to endorse him as the coalition flag bearer.
Kalonzo says that he will defeat President Uhuru Kenyatta if he is endorsed as Cord 2017 presidential flag bearer.
Speaking in Garsen during a tour of the Tana River County on Wednesday, Kalonzo exuded confidence that he will send Uhuru home if endorsed as Cord candidate.
“I continue to pray that my brother Raila and Wetangula will endorse me as Cord 2017 presidential flag bearer,” he said during a rally at Garsen grounds on Wednesday as quoted by the Daily Nation.
The Wiper leader said that he will continue to lobby Raila and Wetangula to support his bid.
Kalonzo, however, said that he is ready to support the coalition choice.
He said that Cord is working on strategies that will see Jubilee government send packing in 2017.
At the same time, the Wiper leader appealed to its supporters to remain peaceful.
He said that the party is working on mechanisms that will guarantee aspirants fair and transparent nominations.
Kalonzo said that the party will hold a national delegate’s conference next month to discuss its agenda ahead of the forthcoming 2017 polls.
