A Nairobi based businessman has moved to court to have a DNA test conducted to prove the paternity of the Late Laikipia Senator GG Kariuki whose family he says treated him in a hostile way denying him recognition as GG's son.
He wants the court to help make the family consider involving him in the burial arrangements.
Mr Charles Maina has gone to court claiming he is the late Senator’s son and wants to be recognized by the family as one of them.
Mr Maina took the matter to a Nakuru court on Wednesday 13 as the family is set to lay their loved on to rest on Friday 14, July.
The late Laikipia county senator has been praised as a straight forward God fearing leader who demonstrated distinguishing leadership skills.
He died on June 30.
Senator Kembi Gitura, today said he was wondering how the departed colleague managed to do his PHD at 70 years, and that he told him it was because he had not taken any alcohol in his lifetime helping him keep a clear mind.
He described him as a leader who loved education.
