Richard Tong'i has sensationally claimed that he was chosen by God to lead the people of Nyaribari Chache with only few months to elections.
Tong'i, a fierce defender of Jubilee administration, is seeking the second term and would face a formadble challenge from former MPs Robert Monda and Chris Bichage.
He was first elected to parliament through a by election in 2014 after A Kisumu court anuled Bichage's victory.
"I am chosen by God to lead the constituency and that is evident. My competitors have nothing new to tell you," he said at Ritero on Sunday.
"In politics, criticism is important but it is important to give us solutions. Let us be constructive," he added.
Tong'i is also a church elder and is not synonymous in synagogues.
