Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria has asked his competitors to 'stop wasting time' because he will still win his seat.
Responding to sentiments from former Nakuru Mayor Benson Mwangi who said last week that he will seek to unseat Gikaria, the MP said the next general election will be based on the develpment record of the individual.
"Let me tell you the truth, in 2017 the candidates will be elected on what they have done and not what they will do. I have several competitors salivating for my position and I am telling them to wait as I go for another term before I go for a higher post in 2022," Gikaria said.
He said that his record speaks for itself and he needs not to respond to his critics from his competitors and asked them to wait till 2017 when he will humiliate them.
"Let me say as they say it, I will give my competitors a run for their money. I may not be sure who will win but at least I know who cannot be elected. Some will be defeated in the morning of the election day," Gikaria added.
