Nyamira Women Representative Alice Chae has reaffirmed her support to opposition Orange Democratic Movement, and believes that the party will form the government in 2017.
This comes after social media speculations that the former Egesa FM presenter was planning to quit the Orange party for Jubilee.
Speaking to the reporter on Wednesday during an exclusive interview, Chae said Kenyan social-economic problems would be solved under Cord government than Jubilee’s.
“I hear people talking of many things about my political stand but it should not worry anybody. I was elected in ODM and I remain loyal in my party,” she said.
“Personally, I am aware that the ODM party will form government in 2017 because of inability by Jubilee to handle social-economic problems we are facing. I am certain that as opposition, we will topple this incompetent regime. I have never supported Jubilee and people should know that,” she added.
Chae also accused the Jubilee government of allegedly failing to tame corruption and its continued favouritism in distribution of jobs.
“Anything wrong in this country must always be associated with Jubilee and that is a fact. Their top officials are implicated in corruption deals but nothing concrete is done to tame them. Tribalism is also at its peak so it’s laughable for someone to associate me with Jubilee,” she said.
