Former Bonchari MP Oroo Oyioka has said that he will compete against incumbent Zebedyo Opore in 2017.
Addressing locals at Suneka market, Oroo said he has put strategies to defeat his opponents come next year.
"Many people think I have lost hope to vie for the MP seat. I wish to clear air and confirm that I will be in the race and I am sure of victory," he said.
He urged locals to vote leaders based on their development records.
"Leaders with poor development records should not be voted in 2017 and if I belong to that class, kindly do not vote for me. Do not fear to vote since it is your democratic right", he added.
He accused area MP of underdevelopment and nepotism adding that the region would be rescued if voters turn out in large numbers to punish the poor record.
"Opore has mismanaged funds meant for development. Is there need for him to be voted for in 2017? It is time to change the leadership of our constituency. 15 years Opore has been in office are enough", he added.
