National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) chair has Lee Kinyanjui has said the people of Nakuru made a major political mistake by electing Governor Kinuthia Mbugua.
Kinyanjui said the governor has gross misconduct and should not be given a second term in office.
"Kinuthia has failed to discharge his constitutional duties and doesn't deserve a second term. The Nakuru which was the best county in 2013 has been been brought to its knees by funny appointments and corruption. Our clean county has been littered with garbage with no one to collect them and I want to ask the people of Nakuru to vote wisely," Kinyanjui said.
The former Nakuru Town MP said the governor has failed to address the doctors' and nurses' stalemate which has seen them go on the street to demonstrate for poor remuneration and promotion.
In 2013 general election, Kinyanjui lost in the nominations to the incumbent. The gubernatorial race have gained momentum in Nakuru with Nacada chair John Mututho saying he will give his competitors a run for their money.
Nakuru senator, James Mungai has also said he will go for the county's top seat.
