Independent Presidential aspirant Joseph Nyagga has refuted claims that he is being used by some unnamed individuals in a bid to mess up President Uhuru Kenyatta and ensure his re-election.
Speaking in a mini presidential candidates debate organized by NTV in Nairobi Monday, Nyagga said that nobody has pushed him into making the move but he is only offering himself for the post as he believes he can offer better leadership to the nation.
''I am a Kenyan who has been in the political arena for long enough and has been part of some of the biggest parties in the nation.I, therefore, believe that based on my experience, i can offer a new style of leadership that will not only develop the nation but unite all Kenyans as well,'' said the former cooperative development Minister.
Nyagga also maintained that he is too big to be anyone's project saying that he is a national leader who cannot be bought over or manipulated into anything by anyone.
''I am not a person to be bought over or misused politically. Anybody saying that i am a project is a person who doesn't know me,''he said.
According to Nyagga, he has the silver bullet that will bring Kenya back on track.
''I have policies that will restore Kenya.I and my running mate are ready to better this nation,'' said Joe.
The former Raila Odinga ally has worked under KANU,ODM and was recently President Kenyatta's political adviser before resigning to challenge him in the contest.
He also comes from the same region as the President one of the reasons that might have seen him branded 'project'.
