Through his Facebook post which he posted on a poster, Kuria replied to the comments which dared him to step his foot in the region.

One post by Wilfred Hellon read; 'Moses Kuria, We are cordially 'inviting' you all to that 'kichapo meeting' in Mumias on 10th!! Come one, Come All!!!, with Moses Kuria replying in style saying.

'Nichapwe na nani? Jameni mimi nakaa kuchapwa?

he went on to say he will not be cowed, and will travel to western to offer advise to many youths who will be in attendance.

"I am not a coward. Nitakuja and give my advice to more than 3,000 youths," read another of his post.

However, Cleophas Malala, an MCA from the region has joined the conversation, warning Kuria and insisting that he should not step in Western Kenya.

"I, Cleophas Malala, an MCA within Kakamega County and and a youth in leadership do wish to make the following statement. Kakamega County is not devoid of able mentors. We are not interested in the talk being fronted by Hon. Moses Kuria who has in several occasions in the mainstream media been cited as an agent of Tribe Profiling, ethnic cleansing and youth radicalization," read the statement.

"It must be well understood, that he as a leader has a jurisdiction and should be guided by mutual respect for others in leadership. The last thing I would like to see in Kakamega County is a panga wielding battalion of youths in the pretext of empowerment, something akin to what transpired in Gatundu in his own constituency," he added.

"In my valedictory remarks, I note with concern that several alcohol imbibing youths exist in his constituency yet he is in a rush to come and mentor youths in Kakamega County. Let him mentor those ones, give them jobs and let our leadership in Kakamega County discharge their mandate without undue polarization and radicalization veiled and disguised as MENTORSHIP," added the statement.
