A ward representative in Kisii county has denied claims that he is among land grabbers in Kitutu Chache North.Monyerero ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Laban Ogero says the allegations are being propagated by his opponents out to taint his name.The MCA has been accused of grabbing the Ragogo primary school land."I have not and will never be involved in any dubious ways of acquiring public land. I am a leader with integrity ready to defend my people as by the law," Ogero said."The Ragogo primary school land remains the school's land and those spreading propaganda that I have colluded with the Kisii lands registrar to grab the land should find other means to attack me because locals will not fall into their tricks," he added.The ward representative assured the school's management that he would work with them to help ensure the land doesn't fall into land grabbing cartels."No land cartel will be helped to acquire a title deed belonging to the school in my tenure. With the help of the school management, we are going to get the land documents processed at the Kisii lands office to bar any cartel from claiming ownership of the land," he added.The MCA was speaking on Saturday at Ikuruma Sub location in his ward.
