The former Bungoma county governor accused Western leaders led by NASA principals ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi and senator Moses Wetang'ula of Ford Kenya for labeling him a traitor.
Lusaka said his relationship with Jubilee's president Uhuru Kenyatta is based on good development record.
"My relationship with Uhuru has seen Bungoma enjoy tremendous benefits. When they were working on the other side it was okay but now because it is Lusaka, they call me a traitor", he said.
He said that it is a new dawn for the people of Western Kenya and leaders should accept change. He added that the Western region is enjoying new entrants in politics.
"Whether you like it or not, new people will come on board and if you do not embrace this, you will have it rough adjusting to the new wave", he noted.
Lusaka has vowed to serve as the senate speaker without siding to either Jubilee or NASA.
