Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu has vowed to fight the illicit brew menace even if it means for him going to jail.

Speaking to the public at Kabete Town on Wednesday, Waititu said that he is not afraid of being jailed so long as the area is free of illegal brews.

The MP said that he will continue fighting the brews and asked rogue operators to prepare for the battle.

“I will not be cowardice by threats of legal action over my actions in regards to illicit menace within Kabete,” he said.

Waititu said that as a public leader he will be on the front-line in the fight against the brew menace.

He said that the fight against illicit brews has been approved by President Uhuru Kenyatta and that illegal brewers must be tamed out.

The legislator said that destruction of brews and illegal bar premises is the only way that will put the problem to an end.

Waititu said that the ongoing fight against brews will continue until when he will be satisfied that Kabete is completely free of the brews.

Waititu however warned goons and hooligans taking advantage of the crackdown to rob and loot saying that he law will catch up with them.

He asked the police to monitor the crackdown and take action against looters.
