Presidential aspirant Philip Murgor has denied claims that he is being sponsored by some top politicians to divide the presidential votes in the forthcoming August 8 general election.
Murgor said he is an independent candidate and that no one is sponsoring him to divide votes of a certain region as alleged.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Sunday, Murgor hit out at some politicians who he claimed are afraid of his presidential bid.
Murgor said his decision to contest for the top seat was informed by the problems facing the country, especially corruption.
The former DPP said he will not drop his presidential bid and urged Kenyans to support him.
Meanwhile, Murgor has hinted at working with the opposition.
He said his United Democratic Movement (UDM) party is considering supporting the opposition in its bid to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.
Murgor said Uhuru's administration has failed to deliver the promises it made to Kenyans in 2013 and must be voted out in the August 8 general election.
