Jubilee Party Secretary General, Raphael Tuju, has strongly disparaged the newly established NRM (National Resistance Movement) as nothing beyond words.
In an interview with BBC’s Sophie Ikenye, the former Rarieda MP said that Kenyans were tired of the opposition and any attempt to plunge the country into another protracted period of destructive politics would fail.
''I am not bothered by NRM a bit. The people of this country are tired of the politics championed by the so-called NRM. It is nothing but words. People want to move on. Even the Chief Justice voted.’’ He told the BBC yesterday. Tuju’s words come amid rising political temperatures following Odinga’s dramatic withdrawal from the presidential race.
NRM was formed on the eve of the rerun of the presidential election.
Raila Odinga's name was on the ballot despite his decision to bail out of the rerun.
