Former minister Nicholas Biwott has cleared the air concerning social media rumours which alleged that he had passed on.
Biwott refuted the claims on Saturday while addressing journalists in Eldoret. He said he was fine and in good health.
Biwott said this at a wedding ceremony at Kipsaos Boys Secondary School where he was in company of William Chepkut, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Keiyo South MP Jackson Kiptanui.
The rumours had spread fast on popular social media sites including on local television social media platforms.
Biwott asked the public to shun and ignore the rumours quoting that they were false and malicious and were spread by evil people misusing the freedom offered by social media.
Senator Murkomen also went ahead to share his photo with Biwott having lunch on his twitter handle and said he was happy to meet the total man in a move perceived as dispelling the unfortunate rumours.
The National Vision Party leader who had earlier declared that his party is in full support of the Jubilee government however seemed disinterested in suing those spreading the rumours about his death as he did not mention anything close to it.
This is not the first time Kenyans and bloggers are "killing" celebrities and politicians on social media.
Recently, reports were all over on social media that "kigeugeu" hit maker Jaguar was dead.
