Kisii county deputy governor Joash Maangi has reiterated that he was not about to quit ODM as insinuated by rumours making rounds that he could be headed to the Jubilee Alliance Party.
According to Maangi, he is currently working with all leaders from both parties to spearhead development in Kisii county.
“I always work with like-minded people and my aim is to ensure that Kisii county gets ahead in terms of development,” he added.
Addressing a number of residents in Kisii, Maangi slammed leaders who are not ready to work with the county government and other leaders to help the community.
“These rumours making rounds are unfounded, malicious and being peddled by my political rivals,” he added.
Maangi who is the current ODM chairperson in Kisii county said he trusts his party and its leadership.
The deputy governor has been occasionally accused of working with the deputy presidents and he recently hosted Deputy presidents’ wife Rachael Ruto.
He called upon area leaders to work with the government to spearhead the development agenda.
