Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) candidate in Kabete parliamentary by-elections Ferdinard Waititu has said that his entry into Kiambu politics is not meant to divide the Kiambu people.
Speaking at a local radio station this morning, Waititu has said that once elected, his main aim is to deliver services to the people of Kabete for the remaining two years before seeking a higher office in Kiambu County.
“I am not a hypocrite and I will say it here; I just want to be Kabete MP for two years. Come 2017 I will be battling with Kabogo and others for the Kiambu gubernatorial seat,” said Waititu.
Waititu said that the work he will do in Kabete is that which will determine whether Kiambu electorates will elect him governor or not. He further rubbished Governor Kabogo's recent utterances that he (Waititu) had called him to tell him how he was being 'gnawed' by political cold.
“I only called him to tell him to stop sponsoring candidates against me. All he has been saying is untrue. He doesn't own the Kabete seat,” said Waititu.
The majority of Kiambu MPs are supporting his bid for the governorship in 2017.
