Karua pointed out ‘deliberate distortion’ calls by a section of Mt Kenya politicians who want her to disband her party and join Jubilee.

“Narc Kenya will not be coerced or forced to join a party that we are not interested in, our freedom of association should be respected,” she said on her official twitter handle.

Karua, who is working with the opposition, said that the constitution provides freedom of association and no one should be denied the freedom.

On Thursday a section of politicians from the Mt Kenya region asked Karua to disband her party and join the newly-formed Jubilee party.

The politicians also asked Kenya National Congress (KNC) leader Peter Kenneth to disband his party and work with Jubilee Party as well.

On several occasions Karua has said that she will support the opposition ahead of the 2017 polls.

Sources also claim that she might contest for the presidential seat.
