Janet Nafula said she was running from her employer after she found out that the job she was to do was among others feeding a 'very big snake'.

Speaking at the matatu stage on Monday, Nafula said that she was taken from Kitale to come and work as a househelp at a home in Elgon View not knowing that her main job will be taking care of a serpent.

"I came from our home in Kitale on Sunday and got to my new place of work at Elgon where evrything was fine. We discussed and agreed on my salary which was Sh8,000 but things got worse on Monday when I was taken around for orientation where in a certain room, there was a snake and I was told my role would be feeding the snake," she said.

Nafula added, "As a christian I cannot do such a job. That's why I ran away from and I'm going back home."

Good Samaritans who included matatu touts and drivers at the stage collected 250 shillings that she could use as her fare home.
