Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has hailed his administration for restoring order in the county.

In a statement on his twitter account Wednesday, Sonko says that his leadership has achieved big in its battle against careless parking and parking fee evasion attempts usually witnessed in the city's Central Business District (CBD).

He has as well congratulated vehicle owners and road users for cooperation with the county traffic officers and adherence to traffic rules.

''An impromptu tour of the CBD reveals that sanity is steadily coming back along our streets as motorists adhere to packing rules.I witnessed single lane parking,no double parking and parking fee paid to NCC,'' reads the tweet.

The governor before assuming power after the August 8 general polls also promised to deal with matters congestion that deprives the county of its huge  amount of revenue annually.

He has also requested drivers in other parts of the city to follow suit.

''I challenge motorists parking along other streets to obey traffic rules,'' he says.
