Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has said that he is ready to be deported by critics who are not happy with the way he is doing his work.
This comes after a section of Nyamira County leaders claimed that the CS was not born in Nyamira County.
But on Friday, Matiang'i said, anyone who is ready to deport him to his home should do so anytime.
"I hear people say I am not a Nyamira resident. I will have no problem to be taken to my home by those who feel that I don’t belong to Nyamira,” he said.
Matiang’i urged elected leaders to focus on service delivery and stop hatred politics.
“Leaders should focus on development because this is not the time for politics. Hate mongers will be dealt with as by the rule of law,” he added.
He challenged Kenyans to embrace peace and tolerance for the sake of development in the country.
