In an interview on NTV Monday, the National Assembly Deputy Speaker said that she is prepared to clinch the seat in the August 8 polls and serve Bomet residents adding that nothing will stop her from realizing the dream.

''I want to assure my competitors and especially Governor Ruto that I am ready for the battle.I have not come all this way to give up at this most vital moment,'' she said.

She maintained that the race will be a walk in the park for her saying that Ruto's decision to join the opposition block NASA has rendered him politically weak in the region classified as one of the strongholds of the ruling Jubilee party.

''Governor Ruto is an easily beatable opponent. His worst mistake is his move to the opposition.Would he have negotiated for a stake for his Mashinani Party with Jubilee like KANU then he would be a little relevant but as things stand now,he is set to lose to me,'' she added further accusing the governor of doing almost nothing to better the county throughout his 5 year tenure at the helm of the of its administration.

''He is claiming to be the father of devolution when he has actually done nothing on the ground,'' said Laboso.

Ruto who was elected into office in 2013 on the URP party, one of the parties that have merged into the Jubilee Party has since joined NASA where he and his Chama Cha Mashinani party are members.
