Embattled Nakuru West MP Sammuel Arama has said he is ready to defect from ODM party, and join the newly formed Jubilee Alliance Party for the sake of development and democracy.
He observed that he was not going to continue serving a ‘crippled’ political outfit, whose leadership was dictatorial in nature, and who have no hope of ascending to top leadership of the country.
He said this during a funds drive in aid of Kaptembwa Presbiterian Church of God in his area of representation on Sunday.
According to Arama, he is merely a member of the opposition by name, since he was sponsored to parliament on the party’s ticket, but ideally he had quit it long time ago.
He said he admires Jubilee’s way of leadership and development consciousness, noting that it was mature and dedicated to development.
He cited Governor Mbugua as an example of mature Jubilee leadership, while congratulating him for having stood firm in banning Cord’s Okoa Kenya activities in Nakuru.
“Am ready to quit ODM and join JAP any time in my life. I think I have on many occasions made it clear that I admire Jubilee’s way of doing things and I think that is where I belong. I am no longer interested in serving individuals, but I want to serve my voters interests,” said Arama.
