Musalia Mudavadi says he is ready to shelve his presidential ambitions for another candidate if the move will keep opposition coalition intact.
His remarks comes just two weeks into the formation of a technical committee by the opposition that was mandated to help come up with a suitable presidential candidate who will face president Uhuru Kenyatta in August.
And on Sunday, the former Vice President said he was ready to sacrifice just to help Kenyans get better leadership.
“I believe that a united opposition will beat this corrupt regime and restore sanity in our country. Kenyans cannot suffer anymore just because we cannot agree,” he said during a tour to Nyamira.
The ANC leader added: “Presidency is not a matter of life and death. We can always agree and that should not give Kenyans headache.”
Mudavadi is in a two days visit in vote rich Gusii, a region that has seen heightened political activities with ODM leader Raila Odinga set yet again to visit on Monday.
