The resignation of Polycarp Igathe as Nairobi deputy governor has left many surprised.

Starehe MP Charles Kanyi aka Jaguar has also expressed shock over the move.

"I am saddened by the untimely resignation of Deputy Governor @polycarp.igathe. We strongly campaigned as a team sharing a bold vision of transforming Nairobi County," Jaguar said.

The Jubilee MP regretted the move saying there ought to have been consultions before Igathe decided to take the drastic step.

"I wish there would have been more consultation prior to this decision. However, I do call upon Our Governor Hon @mike.sonko to hold consultative talks with all relevant teams so as to identify any problems that may be slowing our growth as a county and ensure that we remain on course. Everyone looks up to Nairobi," the MP added.

Igathe, a reknown corporate guru, hanged the boots on Friday evening through a short and straight to the point resignation letter to his boss Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
