Sassy Kaka Empire songstress Avril Nyambura is single.
The diva revealed this in a radio interview this morning when a male caller asked her to state whether she was single or taken.
“I was in a relationship. In fact, we were engaged and were planning on our wedding when things happened and I felt like I needed some time,” she said.
This prompted the radio host to ask her what happened and she said that she lost her dad at the initial stages of the wedding plans and didn’t have the strength to move on.
“So did you desist from the wedding plans alone or you fully broke up?” the host asked.
“I’m single. We broke up but we’re just friends,” she insisted.
Avril also played down recent rumors that she is dating Mombasa hotcake Susumila, saying they’re just brother and sister who have done a song together.
“Susumila is married with kids and there’s nothing I respect like the institution of marriage,” said the chokoza hit-maker.
